7 Weeks

I went to the fertility doctor today.  They did a "level 1" sonogram...whatever that is.  They were just checking to see if they could actually see the baby and the heartbeat - they need to declare me pregnant and release me to my regular OB.  The sono tech that did it was the same sono tech that did the sono during the embryo transfer.  She was very quiet and looked and looked and looked, she kept shaking her head and looking....she was trying to find 2 babies...she only found 1. 
The doc came in and asked, "now how many embryos did we put in?" 
me: "1"
him: "hmmm, how many babies do we see?"
sono: "1"
him: "are you sure???? she sure did have some high levels." 
sono: "yep" 
him: "hmmm, that is what we get for second guessing...we were sure that there had to be 2 babies in there with those levels.  in fact, we had the lab check your results 3 times!"

So that is why I got such a late call back, they were running the numbers again!  I have been cleared for regular OB care.  He was very happy with what he saw in the sono.
